How to Dress for Shows in Vegas
The Las Vegas Strip has a variety of entertainment for visitors at some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. The dress code for Las Vegas is casual dress during the daytime, but more formal at night if you are going to higher-end casinos, restaurants and shows. Even though it can be upwards of 100 degrees in the summer, you can still follow the dress code for shows while maintaining a comfortable body temperature.
Find out if there are dress requirements for the show. You can call the box office for the show, look on the show's website, or look on your ticket information to see if, for example, a jacket is required for men, or jeans are forbidden.
Dress for the hotel where the show is performed. You should dress differently if you are going to see a show at a three-star hotel compared to a five-star hotel, like the Bellagio or Caesars Palace.
Dress for the weather, but take into account that air conditioning keeps the show area cold. Weather in Las Vegas in the winter is cool and can be in the 50s at night. In summer, the temperature can be reach a low of 90 degrees, but the areas in the hotels and casinos are air conditioned to around 70 degrees. Take a wrap or jacket to put on during the performance in case it gets cold.
Dress differently for daytime shows and nighttime shows. You can wear casual dress for shows during the day, but you should dress up nicer if you are going to a show at night. Dressing up does not need to be formal attire, but includes slacks, a casual dress, or a polo shirt, for example.
